Pe 28 februarie, are loc cea de-a 88-a ediție a celor mai importante distincții din cinematografia americană, Premiile Oscar. Gazda evenimentului din acest an este comedianul Chris Rock, care se află la a doua experiență de acest gen, după 11 ani.

Gala Premiilor Oscar 2016 are loc în noapte dintre 28-29 februarie. Gazda evenimentului va fi Chris Rock.  Cinefilii au așteptat cu nerăbdare să afle ce filme și ce actori au fost nominalizați. Nominalizările au fost făcute publice, joi (14 ianuarie).
